NCDC’s Carwash and Lemonade Stand to Honor Eli’s Wishes to Find A Cure
Today touched my heart. All of the children from Nottingham Country Day Care came together in this FIGHT against childhood cancer in Eli’s memory. Everyone of these Eli warriors had fun, smiled a lot, ran around, and had a blast. These children raised $657.68 to help save children’s lives. These children did good. You see we can help the children by giving them a good foundation one with love, one with direction to do positive things for others. You see we live in the best community in the USA. We live in a place that we can make a difference.

Eli’s Stand Against Childhood Cancer
Family, Friends, and every Eli warrior out there this is Eli’s Dad and the President of the Eli Seth Matthews Leukemia Foundation. I would like to thank each and every one of you for all you do in this FIGHT. Without you we would not be able to carryout Eli’s wishes to find a cure for childhood cancer. As you can see we are able to donate $30,000.00 to Todd E. Druley, MD, PhD he is located at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Please watch this YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6C23DDqpKq0 we will also donate $2,005.00 to Dr. Grant Challen, Ph.D. of Washington University School of Medicine as well. The foundation also donates to Roberta’s House of Baltimore, Roberta’s House is a safe place where children, teens and adults discover that they are not alone in their grief and engage in mutual help. Children with their families share their feelings, memories and experiences in an atmosphere of acceptance with the love and support of trained volunteers. We also donate to the Joy Hope Foundation to help families create a new memory never to forget the old memories of losing a child. As you are aware we continue the Eli Seth Matthews Scholarship Fund to the Oxford Area High School as well.
On July 26, 2013 Austin, CURLY BEAR, and I will fly to St. Louis and Make a STAND!!!! Eli’s Stand against Childhood Cancer. On that Friday afternoon we will go to the lobby in the hotel and pick up the 30 CURLY BEARS that I found out today are ready for us to arrive. We will meet with Dr. Druley and deliver 30 CURLY BEARS to the children fighting for their lives. We will than head over to the state of the art Lab http://druleylab.wustl.edu/ and gather some data on what our funding is doing in this FIGHT. If anyone has an idea on how they can help just send an e-mail to BraveEli@zoominternet.net and I will help you along. A positive word with a positive attitude causes positive results. Thank you; Eli’s Dad.
