Meghan Guerrera Goes BALD to carry out Eli’s wishes to find a cure for childhood cancer!!!!

Hello!

My name is Meghan, and I grew up in Oxford, Pennsylvania. All throughout high school, I was touched by Eli’s story and his selfless devotion to finding a cure for childhood cancer. Although I did not know him personally, I can honestly tell you that his battle was fought with a most positive attitude. After his passing, the reaction by my entire community and so many others thrilled me. Everyone came together, in various ways, to carry out Brave Eli’s wishes to find a cure for childhood cancer.

I am currently in my second semester at Temple University, where I now intend to carry Eli’s aspirations to find a cure for childhood cancer even further. On May 1st, 2012, I invite you to join me on Temple’s Liacouras Walk at 6:00 PM for the shaving of my hair, whereupon the trimmings will be donated to Locks of Love. I have been considering this for quite a while now, and I regret that it was not until my own family was affected by cancer that I finally decided to go through with it. To me, it’s just hair that will grow back. It would make me happier to see it go to a child who needs it more than I do. I know it would make Eli happy as well. I pray that my new look will be accompanied by a generous donation to the Eli Seth Matthews Leukemia Foundation, Inc. Whether you can or cannot attend this event, I ask that you please consider making some contribution. Any amount can make a difference! Please send your donations to
Eli Seth Matthews Leukemia Foundation, Inc. (Make the check out to the same)

**Hi this is Paul Matthews Eli’s Dad, when Meghan told me about what she was going to do this touched my heart. It’s not your hair that makes you beautiful it’s your heart. I asked every person reading this to find it in your heart to donate no matter how big or small. I set a goal of $3,000.00 we can do this. Not only will Meghan’s hair help a child fight cancer the money raised will help carry out Eli’s wishes to find a cure. Please will you help?

With people like Meghan in the world, there will undoubtedly be less tragedy for little children, like Eli, and those who must endure the loss their absence brings. I wish you much luck in raising awareness in your fight to find a cure for childhood cancer. I have no doubt that this amazing young woman will bring much needed attention to this cause. It takes all kinds of people to effect change, from scientists who study cancer cell development, to people who bring awareness to the need for funding, and for those who fund. I hope the actions of Meghan inspire many people to be part of this chain. You most certainly can count on my support. Thank you Meghan for giving us the opportunity to make a difference.
